Ron Bykowski is involved in many activities which benefit the residents of our shared community.  Most of these are not public events. Rather his “service above self” is privately achieved on a daily basis in the community to which Ron is dedicated.  Ron’s recent receipt of the Illinois Senate’s “Everyday Hero” award celebrates Ron’s service-above-self to McHenry County.  Many residents have witnessed his efforts to “Keep the Spirit of ’45 Alive”; Ron is a founder of the “Keep the Spirit of ’45 Alive” event in McHenry.  Many have also heard his excellent 1,116 and growing number of performances of taps at patriotic events and graveside ceremonies for fallen veterans as part of Bugles Across America.

Ron Bykowski is also a recipient of the McHenry Chamber of Commerce Frank E. Low Award (which is such “Chamber’s highest honor accorded to an individual for distinguished community service”). Ron is a Member of the Rotary Club of McHenry and Chairman of the Rotary Club of McHenry Charitable Foundation, Inc.  Those interested in joining the Rotary Club of McHenry should let us know at   RotaryClubofMcHenry@gMail.com   Support our shared community, come to the August 18-20, 2017 Blues, Brews and BarbecueLearn more about Blues, Brews and Barbecue.
