Results from the Johnsburg Junior High School student Fall Dance and “Penny Wars” are in.   Proceeds from these fundraisers will assist in USA Natural Disaster relief through the Rotary Club of McHenry Charitable Foundation, Inc. and ShelterBox USA

Members of JJHS’ 6th Grade won the Penny Wars, which raised more than $500.  The Fall Dance (and other sources) raised nearly $1,600.  Members of the JJHS Student Counsel used a check to share these excellent results with other students and staff.  From left to right are student council members: Tommy Oeffling, Mei Macey, and Kiera Welch.

Adding to these excellent JJHS student and staff results, the Rotary Club of McHenry Charitable Foundation, Inc. is increasing the overall funding to assist in USA Natural Disaster relief.  Pictured below from left to right are Eric Dohrmann (Club Vocational Service Chair, Assistant Principal – JJHS) and Don Tonyan Sr. (Club Co-Chair of the Blues, Brews & Barbecue CommitteeCo-Chair of the Club’s Service Projects Committee) holding a check which reflects that the JJHS student and staff efforts have been further increased through matched funding by the Rotary Club of McHenry Charitable Foundation, Inc.
